November 2007

I remembered watching some cowboys shows when I was young. The impression of cowboys was that they are so cool. Leather hat, leather boots with a revolver in the holster.

I even trying to be one after watching all those cowboys shows. Making my hand into the shape of a gun, walking down slowly down the peaceful street, draw the gun - bang. The baddies are dead. Those are the days.

However, I have never seen a real cowboy boots until I visited Cowboy Boots. Though it is only pictures that I saw, it did make me went back to the good old days.

Beside cowboy boots, the site shows all other western boots. You may want to give this as a gift to someone special.

Good news! They are offering free delivery with anything more than $100 purchase.

This is one of the challenging training for me. Why? First time conducting for HDB staff, not sure of their profile.

What is the topic? Facilitation Skill or How to facilitate a meeting. This is a tough one though.

Fortunately the group is very interactive. Lot of interaction going on, discussion was good. I enjoyed myself with this group. I had some really good conversation with some of them.

And I am so glad that Vasu was there to support me. Thanks bro, your presence makes a difference.

I learned so much this time. It builds my confidence so much, because it stretched me. Also I realized I have a lot more to improve.

Thank you David for referring me.

It has been almost a week since I last update. It had been a fantastic week with good and more good things happening.

This is 31 Oct. What training is this? Well, not really a training, but Money & You Preview. It has been months since I did the last one in Johor.

I do have some fear. Fear because I had stopped doing previews for a while, I’m not sure if I can still do it. And with the ice cream project and preparation for other trainings over the next few days, does not allow me to rehearse the preview on my own.

But still my passion in doing Money and You preview has not dies. I can still feel the fire burning in me.

Finally, comes to the D-hour. It’s do or die. Up on stage, I did all I can, allowing the Universe to take over. And knowing my brothers, Clive and Dennis are sitting behind supporting help in my presentation too. When I saw them laughing at my jokes, I felt safer.

Throughout the preview, I know I am connected with the audience, I am having a good time on stage. Then came to the last part - closing. This is the weakest part of my presentation, in my opinion.

Fortunately, Datas, Phyllis, Clive, Dennis, Lori, Wendy are all very good closer. Because of the whole team effort, I thought we had a pretty good sign up rate that night. Me as a speaker is only there to present Money & You, the real effort comes from those who did the closing. Hooray for all those who did the closing.

Thank you for all the support by everyone.
