March 2008

Do you know you can attract anything you want to your life? You can have the amount of money that you want, the beautiful relationship that you love, and the healthy body that you are in, basically anything you want. This is the Law of Attraction.

We are like a magnet, which is able to attract things into our life. The difference is we can choose what we want to attract. You send your intention to the Universe and allow the Universe to do the work for you. You tell the Universe what you want; next you get ready to receive what you ask.

The Universe will always give you what you ask for. It never fails. If there is a part of you that do not believe, then the Law of Attraction doesn’t work. Your body, mind and soul must be totally aligned to be able to receive all things you asked.

Now there is a key to practice the Law of Attraction so that it’ll work for you. That is to feel good. Mentioned earlier that your intention must be aligned in order for the law of attraction to take place. Your mind send out your intention, your soul must feel good about it. Be emotionally charged about receiving your wish.

Most people did the first part that is to send out the intention with their mind. However, what is missing is they do not feel excited, happy about what they wish for. They don’t feel that they are already receiving it. That stop the flow from the Universe to give what you want. A part of them don’t want it to happen. There is a mis-alignment here, just like a blockage in the flow of stream. The water couldn’t flow through smoothly.

Be extremely happy, excited, joyous about what you are about to receive. Feel that feeling when you receive that wish. How would you feel when you are enjoying your wish? For example if you are wishing for a 4 million house. What is that feeling when you are in that house? What is that feeling when you touch that wall? What is that feeling when you look out of the window? What is that feeling when you lie on the king sized bed in your bedroom?

The next time you send out any intention, feel that intention with your soul. Feel the feeling of having the things already. You would have felt amazingly great about it everyday if you are to practice the law of attraction daily.

March has been a fantastic month for me. I’m pretty much occupied by trainings and meetings. Of course, it’s not all about work. All work and no fun, makes Joe a dull boy.

Training for schools, corporate and did a Money & You Preview had certainly made my soul feels good. The more training I do, the more I gain. Monetary wise I’m rewarded, but what really matters to me is I gain something in the inside.

I grew stronger, gained confidence after every training. I got finer distinction about the art of training and speaking after every session.

While I’m doing all these serious stuff, I did have breaks and fun along the way. We organized a cycling trip in the eastern part of Singapore. The distance is about 42km, I must admit it does add lots of stress to the bum.

I had put soccer aside for about 6 months, finally this month I start my weekly soccer session again. After 6 months break, I was rusty in skill, stamina has dropped, fortunately speed is still there. But no point having speed but no stamina to run, haha.

Once in a while, played my playstation 2 when I need a break. I enjoyed seeing the head of the evil monster’s head being blown off with my shotgun.

This month there are many mentors, brothers and sisters who supported me. I really felt so blessed to have these people around me, to have the Universe taking care of me. Thank you so much.

I am a personal development freak. The purpose of me doing so many things is growth. I am looking for ways to grow, expand my horizon. Because I know deep down inside, if I stop growing, then I’ll start dying.

This morning I had a distinction on why I am such a freak on personal development. I discovered that when I grow, I can also give. The more I grow, the more I can give.

If I want to serve more people, I have to grow bigger. Nelson Mandala said, “Your playing small does not serve the world.” Based on my distinction now, I can put it as -

Growth is to allow you play big so as to serve the world

Are you playing big in the world? If not, is it time to do so?

Liverpool 2 Reading 1. I got a scare when Reading score a goal in 5 minutes. Fortunately, Torres came rescue again. Congrats to Macherano who score his second goal.

Like what I’ve posted, I will post some clips on my players from my favourite team. Here you are, presenting Steven Gerrard, the inspirational captain of the team. He has get the team out of trouble many times. He has a never-say-die attitude, his fighting spirit is second to none. A player who score fantastic goals. You will see his top 10 goals below.

Failure! One of the worst nightmares that some would like to avoid. However, probably most also know that great success is build on failures. Since we know that, or have seen that; why do we still afraid of failures? We should have had the mindset of “every failure is a step closer to success“.

Maybe it’s the emotion part of us that is afraid of failure. Can you imagine the emotional torture that you’ll be going through? It can be very painful. And how would you feel when people start looking at you with tinted glasses?

We would feel this way because we attached failures to pain. We put an painful emotion to failures. Sub-consciously we got that “when I failed, I ought to feel painful” belief deep within us. As long as we failed in anything, it triggers the emotion in us.

But really, what is failure? Failure is merely an event that did not turn out to be your desire result. In this event, we attached meanings into it, we placed our emotions into it. Now this event means something to somebody.

If failure is merely an event which is neutral, and we are the one who placed any meaning to it, then couldn’t we also be the one to change the meaning?

If we could attached a joyful emotion into failures, shouldn’t the meaning of failures changed? When you fail in any task, and you go, “YEAH! I have learn something or now I know this doesn’t work.” Wouldn’t you feel better?

Failure makes us wiser. But we must learn from it, get something out of it, that’s how we grow as human. If you get nothing out of each failure, you will face with it again until you learn your lesson. Once you learn from it, you are one step closer to success.

If every failure brings us a step closer to success, shouldn’t we feel excited when we fail? It means we are moving closer towards our goals.

Many people are put off from what they really want to do in life simply because they do not belief that they can achieve more. These people usually think too small, and never have the courage to achieve anything bigger in life. Little do they realize that they have the power within themselves to accomplish anything if they are willing to change.

Too often people think that change is beyond their control, they feel totally powerless to do anything to change the situation. What they didn’t realize was by simply changing how they think and feel gives them the power to achieve what they desire in life. They can begin to take charge of their lives and make the changes needed.

Decide what it is you desire
The first step to changing is deciding what is it exactly that you wish to change in your life. What are some aspects in your life that you wish to change? Write down exactly what it is that you wish to change, make a list of everything that you aren’t happy with and what changes you wish to make.

How you feel about yourselves has a lot to do with how you see life. If you are full of self-doubt and no self-confidence, it will be reflected in your outlook and it will get you down. Have you ever seen a person’s appearance and you know for sure this person is so full of self-doubt. So the first step is to take your life back into your own hands is to change your outlook.

Change your attitude
The first thing you should realize is that you and only you has the power to change. The secret to this is to simply move forward with all you have. Stop looking back and have doubts on the future. Take the first steps and everything good will unfold for you. Change from negative attitude to a positive one. With a more positive attitude you will be able to change the way you feel and react and more importantly what you are able to achieve.

Once you have a different attitude towards life, you will realize things around changes as well. What used to be negative can be positive to you now. You will attract others who are as positive as you to support your growth and change. Of course the changes will be small in the beginning but slowly you will begin to realize that changes are happening and it is you that is making this happen.

You don’t have to rely on anyone else. Along with the positive changes you will feel better, have more self-esteem, confidence, be more enthusiastic and be self-motivated.

Taking responsibility for your life and realizing that you alone hold the power to the changes that are happening around you. This will bring enormous self-satisfaction if you simply remember to always keep an open mind and remember that you have nothing to lose.

Tips to help you change
· Clear the clutter – start your new outlook by clearing out all the clutter that is unnecessary in your life. Start throwing your old clothes in the back of the closet that you will never wear again or the pile of magazines tucked in the corner. Start fresh and clean, getting rid of clutter is an excellent step towards changing your outlook and losing old baggage.

· Attend a self-help course – There are many classes that give help and advice for taking the first steps to taking control over your life. Attend these courses to learn from masters and socialize with people who wants to make a change in their life as well.

· Read books and watch DVD’s – Watch inspirational DVD’s and books that are out there to gain inspiration and set you on the right path. Inspirational books is a cheap way to get your life right. It’s a good place to start with.

Liverpool has been playing really well recently. They have finally found their form. They have been scoring goals in English Premier League, and they are in the quarter-final of Champions League. They beat Inter-Milan flat, the Italian League Champion. It so cool.

For doing so well, I am posting videos of some of my favourite Liverpool players. This first post to Liverpool will feature Xabi Alonso.

Xabi Alonso:

A master passer. A master in passing the ball. He is usually played as a defensive midfield with attack starts from him. I love this kind of players because the attacking play starts from him. He is also a player who loves to knock ball into goal from a distance. Watch the video to know what I mean. One of the most stunning goals.

Yesterday, I read an article on the newspaper regarding a China student studying in Singapore is diagnose with leukemia. The school is helping him to get the public to donate money for his medical expenses. To my surprise, some refuse to donate because he’s from China.

Well, I do know that donating is a volunteer basis. Some can choose not to donate. But this reason is a joke to me. It shows the naiveness and childishness of these people.

Why would you want to differentiate between Singapore or China? Aren’t we both human as well? When we take away the titles, there is no difference between us.

A life is a life. A life doesn’t know colours, race, dialects, countries. How sad it is when people starts to form mindset about some, ostracized those who are not like them, seeing them with filtered glasses. Isn’t that how many wars have started?

It is sad that young Singaporean behaved this way. But there are some who looked past all this. There are some who is willing to help. Maybe there is still hope for the future. How about you, will you help if he’s from China?

This whole week is a sport week for me. I am exercising almost everyday. Yesterday, I am having a game of squash with Lester. I gain a distinction while playing.

In the past, I played a sport because I enjoyed it. Yesterday, I found out the reason for this enjoyment. Why would I love some sports, especially fast moving sports?

I did mentioned before that some sports allow me to think and act fast. Yesterday game allow me to go deeper than that. Squash is a fast game. To make it tougher, I am a novice. When I begin to be in the present, fully focus on the ball, I am able to hit the ball to the place I want it.

But when I lose focus even for a split second, I missed it.

I experienced the feeling of present yesterday. I must admit it was a good feeling. Knowing that I am fully present, the soul, mind and body think and act as one was a extremely positive experience.

Thank you squash, and thank you Lester for introducing this game to me.

Singapore has been a special country. Some countries know that there is a “Singapore”, some do not.

I remember when I first went to Australia 15 years, one of the Australians that I got to know from there actually asked me where is Singapore, is it in China. From her look, I guess she probably didn’t heard of Singapore before she met me.

Another time when I was in Taiwan 10 years ago, the taxi driver knew Singapore for only one thing. He said, “Oh that country that banned chewing gum.”

Recently, there are 2 additional rules that could make Singaporean proud.

Rule #1 :

Taxis going into Central Business District (CBD) can only stop at designated stops. They can’t stop anywhere like they used to do so. That’s is to say customers has to find the stops to find a taxi as well. Why do I take a taxi? Convenient, it drives me right to the doorstep of my destination. That’s why I pay more to enjoy this convenient service.

But now why would I pay more since I have to walk after alighting to reach my destination. It no longer make sense to me to get a taxi.

First they raise the taxi fare, then they took away the convenient service. It is like you pay for business class, but when you are up in the plane, they told you that all seats in business class has been taken up. You can take the next flight or you can join the economy class but there is no refund.

Rule #2 :

More subsidy on health care for the lower income group. That’s good news, and I am glad to hear this ruling. The next part is ridiculous, the subsidy for the higher income is much lesser. There is no change to their budget, basically they are taking from the left pocket to put into the right.

This to me is penalizing those who earn more, it’s my mistake to earn more. I fully agree that they should help the lower income, but to take money from the higher income group is totally non-sensible.

They are complaining that Singapore is losing its talents, good people are moving out of Singapore. I believe more will move away now. The talents are earning good money, and when talents earn good money, there are less benefit staying here, so why should talents stay here, I wonder?
