An Entrepreneur’s Journey

Once again thanks to David, Vasu and me got a chance to train in the corporate arena again. This time the workshop is Telephone Etiquette.

Gotten new experiences, new ideas and new methods of training. I felt so blessed to be able to be involved in those trainings.

It was an experience to be able to move around to train and experience different groups and environment. It helps me to be more versatile and flexible in training.

Now at this stage is to build deeper content into subjects that I will be doing. As Clarity Leads To Power, the better understanding of the topic, the more confidence I will be.

A lot of reading needs to be done. From the reading, I got to organize and digest those information. There are lot more work to become a better trainer.

Yesterday I’ve created a new blog, Inspiration Junction. All inspiration and motivation stuff will be posted there.

I hope that blog will be a place where you can find your inspiration in life.

Regardless one’s earning power, some people lose money easily. Some may be earning a five figure sum per month, yet are in debt. Some may be earning much lower than that, but are financially free.

The conclusion - it’s not about how much you earn, but your mindset about money. The way you think about money drives your action.

“High risk high return”

Are you one of those with this mindset? What is the likely action for having this mindset? They probably lose tons of money. They are the gamblers; most gamblers usually lose money.

This group of people believes that to make more money, they got to take on more risk. They probably put their money on anything that is high risk, and they probably lose their money as well.

High risk high return is not always true. In fact, the rich involve in anything that is low risk. One of the secrets of the rich is that they put their money in places where it’s low risk to them yet give them good returns.

“Blinded by greed”

Some lose money because they become too greedy. Greed blinds them, causes them to make the wrong decisions. Their desire to make that $100 more may cause them to lose more.

A friend used to be making $2000 of passive income every month. Blinded by his greed, he decided to change his winning strategy, hoping to make an extra $500. In the end, he got burned, lost all his capital, and never get back to the market. Greed got the better of him.

Many people are not contended with what they have; want to get more, thus changing the usual way of doing things. However, that increases their risk tremendously, and with one false move, it wiped them out completely.

“Money is hard to come”

Those with this mindset are the toughest group of people. This mindset is probably been planted when they are very young. They might have heard it from their parents, and this message is mingling in their sub-conscious for a long time.

This group of people will self sabotage their bank account. Do you know of someone who suddenly has to pay some big ticket item when they have some money? This group of people has a difficult time to keep money in their bank account.

Because of this sub-conscious, they manifested those special spending. When they have some money in the account, suddenly their car broke down. They got to part with this extra money. Their sub-conscious is telling them “money is hard to come by”, so when they have some money, it manifested a situation where they got to spend that money.

Losing money is all started from your sub-conscious. Get that right; the rest will take care of itself.

What an awesome Champions League!!

Liverpool into the semi final for the 3rd time in 4 years. Six goals in total. Arsenal may end their season with no trophy with the lose to Man U last night.

Liverpool?? Yes!!! One more chance for Champions League. Yeah!! The videos show the goals scored in the match. Enjoy!!

Recent good results of Liverpool certainly turned me, a Liverpool fan, into a happy person. The qualifying of semi final in the Champions League by knocking out Arsenal in a 5-3 aggregate, and beating Blackburn 3-1 makes a day for every Liverpool fans.

Here is a video of the hottest boy in the Liverpool squad right now. Fernando Torres, the man who scored 30 goals in his debut season. He is a natural striker, with a striker instinct. He knows where the goal is without looking at it.

God gave everyone of us talents so that we can contribute to human kind. Talents come in the form of many kinds: music, art, inspiring, dancing, sports, writing etc. These talents are probably the real purpose why we are on this world.

Something changed when we started going to school. In school, some will have the chance to develop their talents, but some won’t. For those who have talents in dancing, they will probably not have a chance to develop this talent because it’s not a criteria to pass the exam. School emphasize a lot on academic subjects which are perceived as the door to success.

In the process of going to school, some would have lose their talents. Talents are like muscles, the more you use it, the more it grows. If you don’t use it, it will be lost.

Many decided to give up their talents because of social pressure. How many will choose to be an artist over an engineer? People will call you mad if you decide to be an artist. But you are normal or wise if you choose to be an engineer. Due to this social pressure, again talents are lost.

A friend of mine chose to be a teacher but she’s in love with music. She can play instruments, can sings well, but don’t have that courage to make that change. She always complained about her job as a teacher, and was not happy with the job.

I start to believe that happiness and talents are related.

It is not easy to overcome the fear of social pressure for your talents. But I can assure you that following your talent will make you a much happier person.

3 days ago, I had a once in a life time experience. I was involved in a dramatic accident. The jeep that I am in gone off the cliff, overturned and rolled down the slope. I climbed out of the car with no major injuries. 3 of us in the car don’t know how we survived, but we did.

It was a trip to bring a group of participants up to a waterfall in Malaysia for a team building course. We had a wonderful time at the waterfall, and while driving down from the waterfall, the accident happened.

I thought I am going to die when the car was rolling down. Fortunately all of us in the jeep wore safety belt, something I don’t do in Malaysia. But I wore safety belt that day. Even the person seating behind also wore safety belt.

There is only one explanation to this. Angels are protecting us. It can’t be the jeep rolled down 30 feet and nothing happened to us. We are very lucky that we came back alive.

I told the other 2 guys, there is probably one reason why we survived. We are back to tell a story. What story to tell, I am not sure yet. But I know it is going to be a worthwhile story to tell.

The greatest gift that humans have are choices. The freedom to choose left or right, black or white. We are the only species on earth to be able to choose, therefore humans are the only one who can make a difference to the world.

Why are choices the greatest gift to us?

Because then we can choose to be single or married, to work or rest, to visit whichever country we fancy or to be who we really are. Most importantly, our choices determine our destiny.

Our choices will shape our life, shape who we become. If you decide to be a teacher, then your destiny is to educate young people. If you choose to be a musician, then your destiny is to entertain others.

Since choices are our greatest gift, it will be a sad moment when some lose their freedom to choose. I’ve seen it many times especially to those who are earning a living. They are unable to make a choice because their bosses doesn’t allow that.

How many times you have heard someone says, “I have no choice.” How many times have you heard someone shared about the hatred to their job yet they have no choice but to hang on to that job.

What they do not know is they have a choice. And by hanging on, they had actually made their choice. The choice to walk out to choose another path. They are blinded by their current situation, unable to see what’s in front of them. Yes, at times it may require faith to choose. I believe when a door closes, the Universe will open another one.

Choices can be so powerful. You can choose to be rich or poor, successful or not successful. Once you make the choice of being rich, the rest is simple. You just have to walk the path of the rich, do what the rich do.

Start making your choice now. Your choice determines your destiny.

About 2 weeks ago, I conducted Cashflow 101 for a temple. Yes, a temple actually wants to learn more about money matters.

Thanks to Lilian who is actually the Chairman of the woman organization in the temple; invited us to do this session. It had been a while since I last conducted Cashflow. It’s really fun to observe how others play the game.
