January 2009

January 2009 has been extremely exciting. Trainings are happening every other day. I am so excited that I am handling bigger and bigger projects. All the trainings that I’ve done has given me an opportunity to grow and discover more about myself.

I’ve gain huge clarity and self esteem to increase my training fee. This year I have increase 3 times my fee as compared to 2 years ago. I don’t increase for the sake of increase, the value of the session I conducted has greatly increase also. The content is getting better as I gain more experience in my business.

My February dates are starting to fill up as well. I am really grateful for what the Universe has provided. Now is a tough market with the economy downturn, yet I am blessed with opportunities. How can I not be grateful?

No matter where the market is going, up or down, I strongly believe 2009 is a great year.

A fulfilling first day of work in 2009. Back from the road trip on Sunday, and on Monday, I was giving a motivational talk to my ex-school. Also it marks the first day of work in 2009 for me.

I had a great time giving this talk, the audience had a great time as well, judging by the response from them. Usually I judged my performance by two factors – the response from the audience and my feeling after the presentation.

Based on the response of the audience, it was good. Energy was high, I was able to enroll them continuously non-stop. Thanks to T. Harv Eker whom I learned some of the presentation techniques.

After the talk, I felt extremely good and satisfied. It’s another marking of a great presentation.

There is a new judging factor that I discovered that day. When an audience called the speaker when the speaker is leaving, it means that the talk has hit a certain performance mark.

There were some girls who greeted and said “bye” before I walked out. To me it means I’ve added value to this few girls at least.

That Monday marked the beginning of a wonderful 2009. I believe this year will be a damn exciting year with great abundance and blessings.

I was away for the past 10 days. Ken, Dennis, Clive and myself went on to an fun-filled road trip in Malaysia. It was a fantastic road trip with the boys.

We first hit to Kuala Lumpur (KL) to meet Alex. I must really say a big THANK YOU to Alex. He’s the one who makes all those arrangements in 10 days stay. He even offered his place to us for our first night in KL.

After the first night in KL, we head up to Club Med Cherating which is about 4 hours drive. Club Med is no strange place to me as I’ve just visited Club Med Bintan 3 weeks back.

At Club Med, it’s activities after activities. Swimming, basketball, soccer, sailing, kayaking, gym etc. Of course with the friendly staffs, it makes the experience even more memorable.

After 3 days in Club Med, we are off to Taman Negara, the oldest rainforest in the world. We were told the rainforest was 130 million years old. It took us 4 hours drive to reach our resort.

The first night in Taman Negara, we went for a night walk which I fully enjoyed. Our guide was awesome. He can see insects in total darkness. The best view was seeing the deers in the night.

The second day in Taman Negara, we went walking into the jungle. In the afternoon, we went to the river for a swim. There was one activity that serves our drama hook for a while. The guide shows us a spot where we could dive into the river. As usual, Dennis was our front line fighter, he was the first one to dive in.

The next day, we are off to Ipoh and Penang to spend our New Year Eve. The best thing about Penang and Ipoh is the food. We ate like there’s no tomorrow. We also took the opportunity to go up Penang Hill to visit the hotel, Belleville where Buckminster Fuller stayed when he’s in Penang. It was an experience to see the real Geodesic Dome that was created by Bucky.

The last stop for the trip was to the Hot Spring near Ipoh. Submerging into water of 40 – 50 degree celsius in temperature is no joke. It was hot, very hot. But Dennis and Ken can stay submerged for a long time, I wonder if they are cold-blooded.

This road trip is filled with laughter, dancing, singing, sharing etc. I believe with the our spouses coming along it will be much more fun. But I also understand that boys need to be boys again. With our spouses around, the real “boys” won’t be out.
