February 2009

Extremely busy, but felt awesome. February was on full gear for me. Almost every other day there were trainings. Yet I felt good about it. Simply because many lives were transformed along the way.

I’ve gain lots of experiences within this month. I gain distinction on how to inspire a team, building a great team, facilitation, bringing the best out of people.

I had a super fruitful month. With things moving forward, I can see that my life will have a great improvement this year. And on Monday, I closed two deals which is really a bonus from the Universe.

On top of that, I had inspired thousands of youth already in the first two months of 2009. It was a great start of the year. There will be more to come.

Inspiring, motivating has been the highlight of the week. I was supporting a youth camp for the past 5 days. It was a huge commitment, but it was one of the best weeks of my life.

The profile of the campers are a group of at risk kids. They are not going to school for the past few years. It was such an irony where Singapore was said to have the best education system yet there is a group of kids whom I met have not been going to school for years.

However, while I used to think that these kids are the trouble makers of society, I was made wrong. After investing 5 days with them, I found out many of them are good in nature. It was their parents who caused all the problems that they are facing. The stories they shared saddened me. Some of them are too young to make any decisions, and their parents made the wrong decisions for them.

In this camp, I saw so much potential in this kids. So much talents that was not fully unleashed. I saw huge leadership qualities in each and everyone of them. But somehow in their life, they were not given the opportunity to exercise that qualities in the correct way.

When this group of kids started to share at the end of the camp that they want to make changes in their life, they want to be successful, or contribute to the society, I knew these 5 days was not wasted.

I will definitely remember this bunch of kids for the rest of my life. I will remember how they had brighten this part of my life.

A week of awesome team building sessions. Before the sessions, the preparation, planning and organizing is overwhelming. I was so afraid that I can’t pull it through. In the end, it was 2 successful events.

I’m very blessed to be given the opportunity to run this event. Initially it was a lot of work, lot of planning. But now after conducting it twice in a week, now I have all the system to run this again in a very efficient way.

In fact I am proud of myself to be able to pull this through. Though there are perturbation in one of the events, but I managed to handle it. I gain lots of experience just this week. Running events and conducting trainings at the same time can be tedious. But now I have experience in doing this, I will outsource some of it the next time.

I must say thank you to some people. Thanks Tina for giving these two projects, and trusting me, giving me full authority.

Thanks my facilitators, Jeffrey Lee, Jeffery Leow, Dennis Tan, Sean Lim, Vasu, Ramesh for supporting. Couldn’t have done it without you guys.

What an eventful Chinese New Year! Before Chinese New Year I actually borrowed a car (BMW) from a friend since she has 2 cars. As I was thinking, I can drive my family around for visitation, everyone can have a great CNY.

But unforeseen circumstances happens. The car broke down after 2 days of driving. I believed it’s the radiator as the temperature of the engine is too high, but there’s water in it. Nope, I didn’t curse or swear at the car or my friend. At that moment, I just thought of solving the issue as I was stuck on the road with a dead car. There isn’t a one bit of anger from me. I guess it’s because I didn’t have a car to begin with, I feel totally at peace with myself.

But this particular incident brought clarity to the kind of car I desire. Never had I imagine owning a BMW. All along I’m not into BMW. That two days that I’m drove that car, I felt extremely good. I felt that BMW represents who I am, represents my personality. Suddenly I was so clear that I will want to own a BMW. And I start telling my friends that I’m a BMW man now.

The Law of Attraction works in lightning speed now.

Next day, a friend called to say he wanted to offload his BMW. My jaw dropped.

The reason I want to have a car now is very much different from the reason I had 6 years ago. That reason is no longer for that ego boost sake. There are personal reasons and spiritual reasons.

Having a car now allows me to feel in control. Behind the stirring wheel is exactly what I told many of my students. Everyone has the power to control his direction in life. I am in total control when I’m behind the wheel. This reason is even so stands out when I’m an entrepreneur.

Total freedom in the places you can go. A car can bring me to everywhere, enjoying the total freedom. My spirit will elevate, my spirit will feel good with total freedom.

There is this great reason that Clive shared with me last year. And only now I understand the true meaning of it. Having a car gives me the ability to support others, share with others what I have. Like driving my family, transporting heavy stuff. With this reason, it gave me much more clarity with the ability to support. The car is not just a personal machine, it’s a everyone’s machine. My friends and family are able to enjoy it as well. This is a reason why I borrowed the car from my friend in the first place.

Now, I have to make a decision.
