Having an abundance mindset may be a hard concept to grasp for some. That’s because from young, we heard “money is not enough” from the adults. This statement builds a mentality of “not enough” and we have to fight to get what we want.
It drives the behaviour of never ending chase of money, possessions, love etc. Because we are afraid there won’t be enough for everyone. There is nothing wrong with chasing after money, I do enjoy having more money. However, I don’t feel good if I have to hurt someone to have more.
Miracles happened when I shifted to an abundance mindset. Knowing that there is enough for everyone, knowing that I do not need to beat others to the ground so that I can have more; create flow in my life.
Awareness of surrounding – because in business, one still got to know the ground.
While having awareness, I don’t shake the trees or chop them down. I just plant my own trees. I do my own things, reminding myself that I do not need to hurt anyone in the process of creating wealth.
On top of that, I concentrate on adding more values to humanity. Knowing that when I give, I shall receive as well; which is the Universal Principles.
I plant the trees, knowing that the trees will grow to be strong. I just add value, knowing that there are enough to go around. Life is in flow with this mindset. I don’t end up in never ending chase. Instead, I attracted good things right now.
Good things unfold itself in front of me. Right now, I’m just following along, knowing that it will bring me to the place that I needed to be. There’s no struggle, tension or discontentment. Everything is perfect. Everything belongs to where it should be.
Most people will always be looking forward to weekends. It’s a time to shop and party for them. I looked forward to weekend as well. But I no longer sink myself into parties. My weekend is to add value to many people. The more value I add to more people, the more “drunk” I’ll be.
Last Saturday, we were conducting the first Youth Success Seminar in 2010. We are blessed with 80 parents. I’m thankful that I’m able to add value, share experiences with the parents. We had created lots of publicity and interest on the Youth Success Boot Camp (YSBC) that will be held in June.
This morning, I received call from 1 parent who will be enrolling his daughter into YSBC. There will be many more parents who will get back to us. But what really is important is, we can work with the parents to support their child.
On Sunday, we were conducting the coaching program for our graduates of YSBC. Another day of adding value to the kids. The kids was talking about a YSBC outing or dinner. I had an indescribable feeling that all that we’ve done, isn’t it for this moment? Seeing the kids having bond with each other.
Furthermore some kids told us that their results improved. They realized they have not been doing their best before attending the camp. I was at a lost of words.
This is what one of them wrote:
“In YSBC, I learnt that we can control events and realised that my life had been not so successful up to this point because I did not take charge and have the initiative to change myself or my environment.
After YSBC, I applied the knowledge that I gained and halved my L1R5 mark. I hope to reduce it further with what I have learnt from this camp.”
With this letter, I knew I had to continue doing this work. I am very blessed to have a team that support this work with me. I am blessed that the Universe continues to provide.
